Engadget had confirmed that a ‘phone’ is one of the 18 R&D initiative the company, Google Inc., is currently underway.

More Google news. It turns out that iPhoto 6.0.5 has built in geotagging that links to Google Maps. Some dude from the MacTelChat forums went poking around in the iPhoto source code and found that he could see where his geotagged photos were taken in Google Maps.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt has been appointed as a member of Apple Computer’s board of directors. Although this does not mean a formal alliance between Apple and search leader Google, many are already speculating on potentially awesome partnerships between the two.
