the price cuts are crap, these are catered to those who know nothing about macbooks and think the prices have actually been reduced that much..
as a student, id rather purchase the notebooks online with edu discount.. i can get the new alu macbook pro for RM4099, the NEW one.. here the old one is even more expensive at RM4199..
That may be true.. but not all of us qualify for edu discounts. Also, it’s possible that Apple limits how much the old models can be discounted.
yup..not everyone is qualified for edu discount.. it is good that premium reseller is cutting down prices.. still good for us who is not in the edu category…
yupp you guys have a point, but it’s just so misleading when the strike out the RM4799 and replace it with the RM4199 and write there RM600 off.. to begin with, the price is no longer RM4799 because the new models are out, the price is simply RM4199..
anyway, im hoping a promo/roadshow will be out soon which will include great goodies (hoping for free 4gb ram upgrade, bag, etc) , then i would go ahead with buying there for RM4499 (13″ 2.26ghz macbook pro)
=)
Sorry if I didn’t make it clear, yeah the price cuts are for the pre-WWDC 2009 model, not the one announced on the recent WWDC.
I so can’t wait to own a 13″ MacBook Pro.
