Apple stress testing iPhone Push notification

push notificationRemember when Steve Jobs first introduce the iPhone? Remember that he promises a push notification service? It’s a service Apple promise where developers could push notification to their apps, so that their app don’t have to run in the background constantly pulling data.

Well, word on the streets (by ‘streets’ I mean the Web) is that they are finally testing with developers. They are releasing a pre-release Associated Press app that has the pushing updates feature.

My guess is that this will come in iPhone 3.0 OS on WWDC. This is good news. This will make tons of app on the iPhone more useful.

Everyone seems to be mentioning it: TUAW, Engadget, MobileCrunch.
