Update: Apple Asia also just launched the Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam stores too. Way to go Apple. Hopefully this is an indication that Apple will start undertaking more activities in the region now.

Great news! Now maybe the iTunes Store and iPhones aren’t that far away.
About the Genius Bar, I’ve used them several times in different cities (Toronto, NYC), and so far I’ve been disappointed with their lack of knowledge. I eventually found the answers myself through searching on the web and in one particular case calling Apple Support directly. I’d much rather have well-trained Apple Support on the phone than the “geniuses” working at the Apple Stores.

I think its a big ripoff. The price of battery for the previous gen MBP 15″ is more expensive than the MBP 17″ battery. That’s not logical at all. Other international stores list them at the same price.
Also, the HKG store offers the best price. Around RM100 less than Malaysia store.
This is a small step towards a bigger future I guess.
