iPhone 101: How to make a printscreen (screenshot)

Many people have asked me how to make a printscreen (screenshot) on the iPhone. It’s simple with firmware 2.x, simply press Home & Lock button at the same time. Your iPhone screen will flash white for a moment & play a camera snap sound. A new png file will then saved into your camera roll. This shortcut works almost on any apps I’ve tried.

Thanks Wei, a friend who owns the older version had upgraded the firmware but was not able to use the Home-Lock combination. I will send him the link to your blog. Thanks
After making a printscreen how do I get it from my iPod Touch on my computer?
Robin when I save a screenshot on my iPhone, I get to the Camera Roll and mail the clip to save it on my computer. That’s quick. Syncing it is another route. The Touch is similar I believe.
