iPod Touch 32GB and iPhone 16GB

Just when I recently got myself an iPod Touch, Apple upgrades it’s iPod Touch and iPhone line. Apart from the 8GB and 16GB model, Apple’s iPod Touch now comes in 32GB. There is also a new 16GB iPhone model.
These are the same devices, it comes with the new January firmware that Steve Jobs shows us at the recent MacWorld.
Watch this space for more info on local availability and pricing.
No, there were no news about official unlock iPhone.

am thinking of getting the new 32GB iTouch wanted to wait for the 3G iPhone…you get all the iTouch functions in the iPhone and more
the new 32GB capacity makes it even more compelling..now that i can store more music/video/photos.
do you know if the iTouch is capable of synching contacts/calendar from iCal in my mac? Thanks…
hi again…
one of the interesting features of iTouch is the ability to trial/buy songs from iTunes over any wi-fi network. unfortunately, there is no iTunes store for Msia. Any suggestions on how to access iTunes products in Msia? - setup a S’pore/Aust a/c? do i need an iTunes gift voucher or something to effect my account?
suggestions would be appreciated.
Yes the iPod Touch can Sync with your contacts and ical appointments.
I could also reads emails surf the web with safari and Google Map application and view YouTube videos.

the 32gb is a great upgrade! the only problem is it’s too damn expensive!! apple please lower the price!!!
wow 32gb sounds great.. but it will be perfect if apple release the 128gb version.. 8/16/32gbs is not enough man.. for those who can be patients … pls wait till apple release a larger capacity of storage.
and for the 1.1.3 jailbreak issue….. dont worry guys the hacker is working on the latest jailbreak 1.1.3 .. the current method is not really helps. ive done all the method to jailbreak my itouch..but it seems no luck lah. so ive downgrade to 1.1.2 and enjoy the 3rd party apps.. i you guys planned to get latest 1.1.3 ipod touch only for the lyric viewer then sadly this wont work without the FXXXing 20 usdollar apps from apple.
@solihinz All iPod sold since the January MacWorld announcement comes with 1.1.3. Those who got their iPod Touch previously, have to pay $20 bucks for the upgrade. Then again just Jailbreak it.
thanks for the reply, jibone.
yep.. i managed to read through the malaysian itunes setup after i posted
thanks again.
solihinz, i understand your frustration… seems that Apple always release lower capacity products at launch, then release upgrades depending on market reception.
i believe the iPhone will evolve into something more interesting…maybe more functions or capacity, i dunno…. nevermind the 3G issue… thats why i’m waiting
only setback is that there is no iTunes malaysia store.
on other matters, is anyone familiar with the Amazon Kindler? i thot it was a very good substitute to bringing books/reading materials with you on the move, but sadly, you can only download e-books using the US operator network… i.e. no availability outside of US
Again, am hoping they would release a version that is applicable to global users, and download at any mobile/wi-fi network using amazon account. Am sure many book readers and travellers will find that appealing… until then, am on the hunt for a substitute…
also, those waiting for the 3G iPhone, might be interested to wait a little longer for Google’s Android platform, due to release Q2/Q3 this year
why can’t we add/replace the memory ourselves? you see.. then i’ll buy a 8GB and get a 64GB flash memory elsewhere… chuck it in… still cheaper man!
Apple could have come out with a naked memory… couldn’t they? the price would certainly be lowered to RM600? RM700? or still RM1500 wakakakaka…
now a phone, music player, later replaces PSP, camera, then as e-book, GPS, wifi router, PDA, finally just like your mini home computer
All the feature discussed by you guys up there are already aware by the Steve Jobs duh! that’s what the so-called future upgrade/improvements/research development all about… aka!
They should hire us!!
solihinz, if you are patient enough… wait for ten years lah you’ll get the best device than any of us who bought it within next few years… then u became ahbeng already…
wakakka… not updated ma
hey jibone,

The iPod Touch 32GB is priced at RM1999 at all Apple Reseller Stores in Malaysia!
I’m going to get one for myself soon…
Cool. By the end of the year, i sense a 64G coming. By the way, my niece will b going to the USA next month and i thought of asking for her help to get me an iPhone BUT the issue is = can it be unlocked here? Can somebody here hack it and let me use my Hotlink in there? Ive tried my friend’s hacked early version of iPhone, using Celcom, and damn! That thing is wickedly addictive.
any clue how to get ipod january software updates??? i dont mind to pay the sofware,,, can i bring my itouch to apple reseller to upgrade the software??
i`m told that it is not good to break the itouch or iphone.. because ur itouch or iphone will be locked if u visit those imac websites with unoriginal version…is it truth???
Just to let u guys know tht im selling my iPod Touch 32G which is only 2 months old (as before, i need to roll some RM for ebay business). The iPod is ziphone jailbroken 1.1.4 and work SUPERBLY (try it out yourself). Selling it at RM1.3k. Email me if interested= triplesaber@yahoo.com
how much is itocuh with 32GB in malaysia????
I would really like more connectivity with my PC, not just what apple has put into itunes about calendars and address books. For example the notepad, or some database.
Additionally I would like to see more native apps vs webapps. I often don’t have connectivity.
