Get your hands on the iPod touch tomorrow!

The iPod touch will be available in Malaysia from tomorrow! This year’s best Christmas present should clear customs by today and arrive on the shelves of our local Apple premium resellers tomorrow morning, Sunday 30 September.
CG Computers and machines both will feature the iPod touch, and I’m sure the new Epicentre in Pavillion will too.
So what will the damage be?
- 8GB: RM1,339
- 16GB RM1,739
Slightly more expensive than the iPod classic, but very worth the price for some awesome technology and the chance to own the newest member of the iPod family. However, if you do plan to buy, please check the iPod touch’s screen really carefully to make sure you don’t get one of those with the dark screen problems.
If you have bought your iPod touch, take a photo of it and email it to buzz[at]mymacbuzz.com and we’ll feature it on the blog! Cheers!

That’s why i just got myself a Classic 160g instead. As much as i want a bigger screen and multitouch, i know the first batch of these wont fit the bill yet, and storage capacity plays an important role for me too. With slightly 300 less i have 160g of disc space to hold almost all of my fave movies. BUT it wont hurt if u buy the Touch as we need more people testing it out for the goodness of all.
I’m writing this from my iPod touch.
awesome feeling!
will write a review about it soon.
Im going to pick up my ipod touch tomorrow. after patiently waiting about 3 month finally the rumours about the touch screen ipod finally comes true. i will supply the picts of unboxing and the review of the interface as soon as possible. oh btw the reason of ipod price velly high in malaysia is becaused it is has been taxed by the goverment.. “the reseller said”
i just drain out the ipod touch battery with watching Spiderman 3 and the fantastic four : the rise of silversurfer back to back . the battery spand of my ipod touch is around 5-6hours video playback. what i can say about the video aspect is i have no problems at all with “the black screen effect ” the video is very crisp and played very smooth. this is the most succesfull and elegance portable media player i ever own. the price is fair for this hotstuff. i must admit that this ipod really makes hole in my wallet but i m not regret to buy it . this device is verry good. good job steve.
Congrats on your purchase Solihin. Do give us more comments, like after a month of usage, see if it still works flawlessly. My iPod Classic is corrupted already after the firmware update, so be carefull of updates, see what others r saying first before jumping onto the same boat.

Everything works great on my iPod touch, except that the back get scratched easily and attract fingerprints all over the device. Highly recommend this product if it’s within your budget. P/s: I’m writing this from my iPod touch as well
oh my.. your ipod classic corrupted after installing updates. i hope u already restore the classic to the factory settings using itunes. my ipod touch is fine with the updates. i install updates at the first connection to my macbook. (fresh from kedai lor). ipod touch can do multitasking job such as open several web page/ browsing while listening to music. im not really happy with battery consumption when using wifi.. it drain up very fast .. today i give a test .. the battery drain in just 3 3/4 hour of usage (fully charged).
Ive restored it twice yet still bugs aint totally gone and my firmware is still version 1.0.2. but at least my iPod classic doesnt go dead or behave madly like before.. Solihin, i know how frustrated u feel about the battery, thts why im skipping the iPod Touch for now and wait until it’s prime, like the Classic for example, 5G iPod wasnt prime enuff, but Classic’s 160G of storage and more than 7 hours of video playback = that’s prime. Btw, how long can u manage to get from the fully charged battery when playing video with the wi-fi off? Some users claim to have more than the advertised 5 hours. My Classic almost clocks 9 hours of back to back video playback.
gud to hear that ur ipod classic is revived. yeah ipod touch is still not prime yet. there is so many things needs to be upgrade (battery /music interface / wifi setting ). ive done a video stress test last 2 days but i fell asleep and i dont know when is the exact time the ipod drain out completely. but what i can tell is that my ipod battery will last longer when playing video if compared to surfing internet via wifi. yes , i musta say that im frustrated but ipod touch is good gadget to showoff to the chick.
im sure that steve jobs will introduce ipod touch with larger storage capacity next year. all of ipod family members are like that. the first year is the introduction then only they going to rectified the problems that came arise. they didnt rectified it before shipping it. no body sells product that no need for upgrading.
Hi I got my iTouch and hacked it. Here’s my video review of the best third-party applications if you have jailbroken your iPod. I also included links to tutorials on how to jailbreak your iPod Touch. Enjoy.

if u guyz want to hack ipod touch pls proceed with caution!! follow the instruction carefully. if somethings goes wrong pls restore the ipod first before hand it to apple store (warranty void if u hack or patch it). Or just wait until january . apple will release the new version of itunes that have build in application installer (i get this info from “cnet live - podcast”) u will be able to install application without breaking your warranty and sweat.
Thanks solihinz for the word of caution. I had the same concerns before hacking it. (never done any gadget hacking before). But having done it now, its worth 10 times more to me than before. I can actually input calendar events, write notes on a full text editor, get google maps, read my email from starbucks, totally customize and pimp out my ipod desktop, add to do lists, read eBooks, have a full bible stored on my computer, have a dictionary and encyclopedia anytime I want…I could go on about how much more I am using it. So I agree, hack at your own risk but I’m so glad I did.
hey I was gonna hack my itouch but in most worried about the whole warranty thing is there anythin I can do to fix that?
