iPod Touch does not require iTunes account [UPDATED]
This is my first post in myMacBUZZ and I am bringing bad news to all future iPod Touch owners.
According to the iPod touch Features Guide PDF released in Apple’s website, you will need an iTunes account to use any of the iPod Touch features.

Setting up an iTunes account requires credit cards from countries that has an iTunes store. There are ways around it but not everyone has relatives in the United States.
I hope Apple will release a software update for the iPod Touch to take this feature out.
So think before you spend money on a paper weight, until you have an iTunes account.
UPDATE
After a bit of Googling, you can skip the iTunes account part and continue to use the iPod Touch. I jumped into conclusion too fast, my bad.

You need and iTunes Store account to buy music over wifi I guess,….
Yes you do need the account to buy music, with or without using Wi-Fi.
No worries. It just needs iTunes installed to activate the iPod prior to first use
yeah but how do i set up my itunes account on my ipod touch cuz i can’t buy any music off the ipod touch music store without it. So how do i sync my itunes account with my ipod touch?
You just need to set up iTunes to sync your music with your Touch. You don’t necessarily need to have an iTunes store account to purchase things from the store - anyway, you can’t purchase anything in the first place since the store is not available here.
A friend of mine suggested getting somone in UK or USA to send you a gift certificste for itunes andthen you can set up an account as long as you have an address you can use in those countries.
