Fire up that Software Update ladies and gentlemen, there are new version of iTunes and Quicktime waiting for you.

iTunes 7.2 now supports the DRM-free music that Apple and EMI announced in early April. With this version you can preview and purchasev new higher-quality, DRM-free music downloads from participating music labels through it’s new iTunes Plus service. More on this later.

Apple also released a Security Update for Quicktime, bringing it’s version number up to 7.1.6. This update addresses two vulnerabilities with the way Java is handled in Quicktime, which allowed hackers to gain access into a MacBook at a security conference last month. Windows users should pick up this update too since the vulnerabilities affect you guys too.
