BackityMac, myMacBUZZ’s official backup solution, has just been updated to version 1.4.8. It’s a point release but has got some pretty important updates:

• Continued tweaks to backup and restore routines
• Fixed an issue where a rogue UI element caused an error during restore
• New package installer to avoid certain permissions issues some users are experiencing

Besides working on BackityMac, DJ has also started working on an app for the AppleTV. As you know, the AppleTV is actually a Mac in disguise and is really fun to hack. DJ is working on making hacking the AppleTV much easier (i.e. adding video codecs, upgrading hard drives, etc) but needs his own AppleTV to tear apart and test.
