Apple has updated its Mac Pro line and released the long-awaited 8-core Mac Pro. The ‘octo’ Mac Pro sports dual 3GHz, 4-core “Clovertown” Intel Xeon 5100 series processors that deliver up to twice the performance of the G5 Quad, according to Apple. Upgrading to the 8-core processors will add USD1,498 to the base configuration Mac pro.

Apple also dropped the prices of their cinema displays to go along with those wicked Mac Pros. Apple shaved USD100 of the 20-inch and 23-inch displays (making them USD599 and USD899 respectively) while the monster 30-incher dropped 200 bucks to USD1799.

Altogether, if you get one of these Mac Pros, max out the specs and get the 30-inch display, expect to (sell off your car and) pay USD15,425.00 or about RM53,329.00.
