Adobe Apollo uses Webkit
Adobe had just announced Apollo, a multi-platform desktop application runtime. The software developers kit is now available for download. The runtime allows web developers to develop desktop application using HTML, JavaScript/Ajax and Flash. I’ve blog about it on my other blog.
No this is not shameless plug to my blog, well may be it is a little bit. As noted by Daring Fireball the Adobe’s Apollo uses Webkit to render the HTML. Webkit is the little rendering engine Apple uses for Safari. Adobe uses the open source version of the rendering engine for Apollo.
It is good to see Webkit getting some support form other projects.
