Apple to outgrow Microsoft
Based on current Apple performance, 10Layers is predicting that Apple will out grow Microsoft in 5 years or so. Although both camps report a growth this year, Microsoft has grown more linearly for this period, Apple on the other hand has accelerated it’s revenues. In other words Apple is growing at a much more rapid phase then Microsoft.
The prediction isn’t that far-fetched at all as Apple now is entering deeper in consumer electronic market. Apple is everywhere on the news, it seems as if Microsoft is living under Apple’s shadow even with the launch of Vista.
The Today Show on MSNBC even introduces Bill Gates by showing of Steve Jobs and all the great new Apple stuff.

i say it depends on which area. i suppose it will hold water if the context is within the consumer/end-user space. however, in the business space, apple is sorely lagging behind microsoft. hence, i kinda doubt if they’d be able to outgrow microsoft overall.
Microsoft’s real problem is its own head. Head honcho Steve Balmer, who lacks any sort of sense.
