New Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station now 802.11n
While Steve Jobs was too busy introducing the super cool Apple iPhone, a new Apple AirPort Extreme base station was also introduced. It is based on 802.11n, the simple wireless networking solution now delivers up to five times the performance and twice the range.
The new AirPort Extreme base station now comes with a new slick design. Looks similar to Apple TV. It has connectors for network computers, printers and you can even hooked up your USB hard drive to share files through the network. It supports Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA/WPA-2), 128-bit WEP encryption and a built-in NAT firewall.

The AirPort base station uses MIMO (multiple in multiple out), smart antennas (three I think) and other 802.11n technology. It is backward compatible with Macs and Pcs using the current 802.11 b/g WiFi technology. Note that all new Mac will (some has already been) equip with 802.11n.
The AirPort Base station will be shipping on US Apple store this Febuary. You will find more info on its availability in Malaysia (date and price) soon here in MyMacBuzz of cause.
