The wit of David Pogue

That David Pogue… he’s such a witty guy. Off all the Mac evangelists out there, Pogue gets my vote as the most entertaining and cleverly funny of the bunch.

Vista doesn't copy OSX

The guy likes to show and tell when he explains things. Like how he shows that Windows Vista does not copy OSX. For instance, David points out that unlike Spotlight, which is located at the top right of the desktop, Vista’s equivalent search feature is located at the bottom left.

And did you know he sings too? Check this video out from a Mac user group presentation at Gloucester College. Turn up the volume and listen to the lyrics.

But in all seriousness though, I’m so glad to have people like David Pogue on OSX’s side. And I think he does a really good job of helping the non-geek see the light and switch. Somehow you never find people quite so interesting and passionate who so publicly supports Windows.

  1. David Pogue used to write for MacWorld in the late 90s in his own column and I always looked forward to reading his column whenever I got my own copy of MacWorld.

Some of the songs first started featuring in those articles, particularly the Christmas ones.

  2. You mean he actually published the song lyrics in his articles? Haha! Can you imagine the guy? Just sits at home in front of his Mac thinking up silly lyrics.

  3. Pogue wrote in one of his more memorable articles that he’s not a ‘Mac enthusiast’, he’s an ‘Elegance enthusiast’ and Macs just happen to be more elegant.

  4. [...] Good article, but I still like David Pogue’s comparison of OS X and Vista better.. News, Malaysia copycat, OSX, vista [...]
