machines, Malaysia’s largest Apple reseller, opened its doors for business last Saturday at Mid Valley Megamall.

At the moment, staff are putting some finishing touches to the store, but everything is on schedule for its official launch on Saturday, 14 October 2006. At the moment they are still waiting for the Mac Pros and 17" Macbook Pros to arrive. But they’ve got that sweet 24" iMac set up and greeting customers as they walk into the store.

As the largest Apple reseller in Malaysia, machines will offer the widest choice of Apple products and compatible accessories, including some brands which are exclusively available to machines. In store are the (really loud) Bose Companion 3 Multimedia Speaker Systems, Xtreme Mac accessories, and even off-the-shelf Parallels Desktop software which are unavailable/I’ve not seen anywhere else in Malaysia.

Also coming soon to machines’ shelves are iPod accessory makers DLO. Apple customers can expect a one stop centre for everything they need at machines.

For their official opening on 14 October, machines will be holding a launch event with some great deals. For the moment, it looks like they will offer a free Crumpler bag with every purchase of a Macbook. There will also be deals for iPods on the day.

Also, the launch will be graced by a few local celebrities. So, if you’ve been wanting to meet Stephanie Chai and some of her friends, and enjoy some really great promotions, make sure you keep 14 October free on your calendar. Watch this space for details.
