Quicklinks: 23 Sept

Dear Michael Lai, why has Streamyx been so crappy these past week? I didn’t manage to blog much because I was disgusted with my broadband narrowband connection.

Bah. Anyway, some links I’ve found interesting this week:

Mac OS X Horizontal Scroll Trick. Scroll horizontally by holding down the Shift key and using the mouse scrollwheel. This is the tip of the week! via Daring Fireball.

Macbooks to be updated, says AppleInsider. They’ll get bumped to a Core 2 Duo processor before the holidays, but we don’t know when exactly. Still, makes sense to wait till Christmas if you’ve been itching to buy a Macbook.

Ten Rules for Buying Apple Products - a great list by iLounge. Many people get upset when Apple announces a new product after they have bought its predecessor. I just want to say there’s no need to be upset - the new product announcement didn’t change the one you bought one bit.

Spotted an unreleased Get A Mac ad on You Tube. Mac and PC have ended up in counselling.

Someone discovered a fix for the scratchy sounds in iTunes on the Apple discussion forums. Windows only.

Retro link of the week: Apple’s homepage from 1996. What a classic. via digg.
