Google CEO joins Apple Board of Directors

Google CEO Eric Schmidt has been appointed as a member of Apple Computer’s board of directors. Although this does not mean a formal alliance between Apple and search leader Google, many are already speculating on potentially awesome partnerships between the two.

Google alone is frightening enough for Microsoft. One way or the other, this could mean exciting things in the future.
Fellow blogger and Mac nut jiboneus hopes for something I heartily agree with:

It’s no secret that Steve Jobs loved Google. In almost every one of his keynotes, (and one speech at Stanford) there is almost always a mention of Google. Whatever the outcome, it’s going to be good.
I’m a big fan of Google too. If I can’t be an Apple fanboy, I’d be a Google fanboy. Go Sergei and Larry!
