Last of all, myMacBUZZ would like to thank Discovery Week again for sponsoring the prizes for our user survey. Stand a chance to win an iPod shuffle 4GB by taking a 5 minute survey. Take the survey now!

Apple claims that the new iPhone 3GS is almost twice as fast as its predecessor. In terms of sales, the iPhone 3GS probably sold twice as fast as well.
Apple announced today that the iPhone 3GS model has sold over 1,000,000 units since it’s launch last Friday in 8 countries around the world. Last year the iPhone 3G sold a million units in its first 3 days too, but back then it was being sold in 21 countries.
The news was so awesome that Steve Jobs even made his first press statement since he went on medical leave earlier this year.
“Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning,” Jobs said. “With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.”
Unfortunately, no word of when the iPhone 3GS will be available in Malaysia. Subscribe to our mailing list and be notified the moment we get news.

Thanks to the Mac+iPod Discovery Week, myMacBUZZ is giving away an iPod shuffle and exclusive Gameloft merchandise if you take our Apple user survey. To sweeten the deal, every 10th survey participant will automatically win a Starbucks gift voucher*.
All you need to do is to take either one of these surveys:
For Apple users: http://bit.ly/AppleUser
For non-Apple users: http://bit.ly/NonAppleUser
The survey is only 10 questions long and will take you less than 5 minutes to complete. I’m hoping we get a good enough sample (hopefully 500 responses) so that I can publish an analysis of the results. It would be interesting to know the buying habits of Malaysian Apple users.

I had blogged about FFmpegX before for converting video to iPod playable format. While the geek side of me said it’s good enough, the snobbish Apple-Mac side of me told me the user interface isn’t up to the Mac standard.
Video Monkey while not the most beautiful application on Mac OSX, it feels more [...]
